Job Summary
The Senior Associate Dean of Student Affairs is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Office of Student Affairs within the MD program. This role involves developing and implementing programs that support student success and wellbeing, while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Key responsibilities include advocating for student needs, advising on career development, overseeing the residency application process, and maintaining organizational documents related to student affairs. The position requires demonstrated leadership, a commitment to diversity, and significant experience in medical education administration.
Required Qualifications
- D. degree and/or M.D./Ph.D. from a regionally accredited university and board certification in their specialty
- A minimum of two years of experience as a senior student affairs administrator or in an equivalent medical education management position
- Leadership experience with demonstrated skill in staff supervision, team building, and personnel and programs
- Demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in leadership and possess the ability to work with a varied group of educators and stakeholders
- Previous experience in medical school administration, preferably medical student education
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to lead and work on a team
