Job Summary
Sr Associate, Data Management at Amgen leads Data Operations for a Therapeutic Area, driving enhancements on the Data Platform, serving as liaison to stakeholders across US Commercial Organization and cross-functional teams, managing data sets (including syndicated data like IQVIA), and ensuring governance, SLA adherence, and data quality. Responsibilities include executing data-enabling features with Agile SaFE, coordinating with Product Teams, refining intake and triage of requests, overseeing platform infrastructure on AWS/Databricks, and enabling analytics and AI capabilities. Key skills include data architecture and flow design, SQL/Python/R, Databricks/AWS, stakeholder management, cross-team collaboration, and strong communication. The role requires 4–8 years of data management experience, experience working in global/time-zone diverse teams, and the ability to operate within product-team SDLC processes.
Required Qualifications
- Any degree and 4 to 8 years of relevant data management experience
- Proven experience in working in global teams and across time zones and cultures
- Proven experience in working in Product teams and delivering high quality solution in adherence with established processes
- Strong stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Excellent English oral and written communication
- Functional Skills: Must-Have Skills: Prior experience working in high-performing data management teams, with clear demonstrations of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Prior experience supporting Data Platforms Operations - including executing in Agile Product teams, partnering in phased execution of Platform enhancements and innovations
- Prior experience in data architecture and data flow design, data modelling and in data profiling
- Hands-on experience and expertise in technologies such as AWS and Databricks
- Hands-on experience with data analysis using SQL, Python, R
- Quick learning agility to understand end-to-end Commercial data flows
