Job Summary
Sr Assoc Quality Engineer responsible for executing system integration testing across applications, devices, APIs, and data systems to ensure overall product quality and reliability. The role focuses on validating end-to-end workflows, performing functional and performance testing, and leveraging modern tools, automation, AI techniques, and database validation to support high-quality releases. Key duties include executing end-to-end SIT scenarios across APIs, backend services, and user interfaces; validating data flow and system interactions; logging and tracking defects; supporting test planning, test case creation, and test execution; developing automation scripts using UI/API testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman, REST Assured); contributing to test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines; assisting with basic performance testing using JMeter or k6; applying AI-assisted testing for test case generation and defect prediction; validating data integrity across relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and ETL/data pipelines; defect management with JIRA/Azure DevOps; collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives; and conveying strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to support automation and quality improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in software testing / QA
- Experience with System Integration Testing (preferred)
- Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
- Proficiency with UI testing tools (Selenium, Cypress)
- Experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps for defect tracking and test management
- Strong SQL skills and data validation experience
- Exposure to AI-based testing tools/frameworks is a plus
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC processes
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
