Sr. Area Sales Manager, Eyecare

Job Summary
Senior sales leadership role focused on delivering Eyecare market growth. Drive district sales performance, optimize resource utilization, develop and coach in-field sales teams, coordinate cross-functional efforts between In Field and Brand Teams, manage stakeholder relationships (including KOLs), and align activities with brand strategy and national priorities. Candidate should bring a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years in biotech/pharma sales or sales management, proven leadership across cross-functional teams, strong strategic planning and execution capabilities, and fluency in English. This role requires building trusted relationships with high-prescribing physicians, wholesalers, and other stakeholders, with experience in territory planning, KPI tracking, and achieving sales targets in a matrix organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 9+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales or sales management experience
- Relevant business experience with proven track record of success within biotech/pharma sales or sales management in at least one therapeutic area
- Proven leadership, coaching and cross-functional team management experience
- Ability to think and plan strategically, develop sales plans and execute with excellence
- Knowledge of territory management, stakeholder engagement, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Strong English language proficiency (verbal and written)
- Ability to operate in a matrix organization and collaborate with Brand Teams and Sales Teams
