Job Summary
Senior Architectural Designer responsible for translating engineering and production requirements into executable architectural plans; manage and update campus maps and individual building drawings; collaborate with elite engineers across disciplines to design and activate infrastructure enabling orbital launch capability; convert and integrate various drawing formats (Teamcenter, SketchUp, Revu) into Revit/AutoCAD; produce feasibility assessments across architectural, fire/life safety, structural and MEP disciplines; coordinate permit acquisition with the City of Hawthorne; contribute to preconstruction budgeting and scheduling; liaise with external design consultants and internal teams; work in a high-concentration, high-stress environment with extended hours as needed; strong written and verbal communication skills; familiarity with NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and IBC; willing to relocate if not local to Hawthorne, CA; ITAR compliance required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in design, architecture or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience creating architectural construction documents (plans, elevations, sections, details)
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and Revu Bluebeam
