Job Summary
Design, implement, and support modern workplace solutions using Java and AWS, while partnering with IT and business stakeholders to provide technical expertise. Lead a team by conducting technical interviews, managing day-to-day operations, and monitoring key performance indicators. Execute Proof of Concept and Proof of Technology projects, explore new technologies, and write whitepapers to build new capabilities and offerings. Provide pre-sales support through technical solutions and estimations, and impart technology training to team members. Guide Java leads and developers on architectural design patterns and legacy modernization strategies within the COE/Practice.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
- Java J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Stack or other microservices platforms like Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes
- Experience in advisory/assessment of a set of applications/portfolio
- Extensive experience in legacy application modernization, monolith to microservices conversions
- Experience on REST web services, Spring, JPA/Hibernate/IBATIS, any Cache framework, MQ framework
- Experience with any 2 estimation methods (MVCP, UCP, FP, COCOMO, WBS etc.)
- Experience with any 2 databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.)
- Ability to recommend multiple end-to-end solutions with pros and cons, knowledge in architectural and design patterns, innovative and curious to learn new technologies, team player, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with presales team on technical solutions and estimations
