Job Summary
Become a Fall Protection expert in the Global market by developing deep product knowledge and understanding local/federal requirements. Leverage regulatory expertise to support critical business initiatives, process, and internal cross-functional teams while actively engaging with standard-setting organizations. Proactively support the United States and Canadian markets through advanced technical support for high-value opportunities and strategic key accounts. Deliver educational webinars, seminars, and public speaking engagements to demonstrate industry thought leadership. This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science, seven years of experience in workplace health and safety or PPE, and involves an on-site model splitting time between Maplewood, MN, and other 3M facilities with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Seven (7) years of experience in the workplace health and safety industry, or in technical support, product design, or customer engagement related to personal protective equipment (PPE) products
- Licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist or alternative safety certifications
- Experience in the fall protection industry
- Proficient public speaking ability
- Experience in new product design, using Voice of Customer insights to translate customer needs into product requirements
- Self-directed and internally motivated with proven leadership skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
