Job Summary
Prepare federal and state corporate and partnership income tax returns, quarterly and annual tax provisions, and estimated tax payments. Manage tax fixed asset records, maintain depreciation software, and reconcile tax and GAAP books. Gather documentation, coordinate summaries, and prepare necessary tax calculations. Assist with tax planning initiatives, process improvements, projections, and modeling. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors while interacting with tax authorities. This role supports Enbridge's multi-national operations across over 450 entities, requiring strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and preferred tools like Alteryx and PowerBI, and an independent work approach.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of federal, state, and partnership taxation or related accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and research tools
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Detailed oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational abilities and a focus on work processes
- Capacity to manage workload priorities and achieve outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Independent self-starter with a critical approach to matters
- Active CPA certification or CPA candidate
- Legal authorization to work in the country of the job location (no sponsorship required)
Desired Qualifications
- Masters in Tax, or similar advanced degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a large public accounting firm or large corporate tax department
- Experience with Oracle and Corptax
- Experience working with pipeline/energy companies
- Alteryx
- PowerQuery
- PowerBI
