Job Summary
Independently manage client workstreams and project components while drafting position papers, policy briefs, and stakeholder briefings. Conduct in-depth research to translate complex legislative and regulatory developments into actionable insights for new business and thought leadership initiatives. Monitor political processes at federal, state, and local levels, and represent the practice at industry networking events in Berlin. Collaborate with Public Affairs teams in Brussels, London, and Washington, D.C., to support regional and global perspectives. Contribute actively to the growth of Edelman's Public & Government Affairs practice in Germany.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of demonstrated success in Public Affairs
- Master's degree
- Proven or developing expertise in the policy and regulatory landscape of a specific sector or geographic region
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Outstanding writing and editorial skills
- Strong digital literacy, including experience using digital and social media tools to support Public Affairs activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be available for the earliest possible date
Desired Qualifications
- ideally gained within a Public Affairs consultancy, a parliamentary office, a government ministry, or an NGO
