Job Summary
Senior-level Controllership role focusing on accurate journal entries and reconciliations across balance sheet and income statement accounts. Responsibilities include posting journal entries, reconciling the general ledger, developing spreadsheets for account analysis, and supporting special projects such as accounting software updates. The role involves educating internal clients on accounting principles, conducting studies, and providing recommendations to improve accounting operations. May assist with installation, modification, and documentation of accounting systems and control procedures, and provide work guidance to less experienced personnel. Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills are required to thrive in an in-person office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Three or more years of accounting or finance experience
- Experience with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Leadership skills to provide assistance to less experienced personnel
