Job Summary
Support the end-to-end consolidated forecast/close process and quarterly earnings process, including preparing monthly financial updates for COFO and Finance leadership. Track total company P&L risks and opportunities, delivering insights on key guided metrics and trends in partnership with IR. Build expertise on Salesforce's financial system while partnering with business partners and IT on system tactics. Lead ad hoc financial and scenario analysis, including evaluating strategic spend, external financial statements, and headcount investments. Drive operational improvements in close processes and present financial narratives to the broader F&S team. This high-visibility role involves supporting Plan & Outlook, long-range scenario planning, and executive-driven requests within the Finance & Strategy team.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
- 2 - 4+ years related experience in FP&A, Accounting, Analytics, or Management Consulting
- Foundational FP&A experience
- deep knowledge of financial statements
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with competing priorities and influence at all levels within the organization
- Advanced skill with financial modeling in Excel or GSheets
- Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-aware and responsive
- Experience creating PowerPoint/Google Slide presentations for management
Desired Qualifications
- High tech or software industry experience
- Experience with multi-dimensional databases, e.g. Hyperion or other financial systems
- Tableau, SQL, R experience
- Proven process-improvement track record
