Job Summary
Provide timely, proactive advice and independent oversight of CIBC's compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Liaise with businesses across the enterprise to access internal systems for supporting information and documentation to inform investigation outcomes. Assist in designing, developing, and implementing strategies to mitigate AML risks based on financial intelligence from internal and external sources. Research new laws and regulations to identify organizational risks, while providing ongoing risk assessments and communication of changing requirements. Consult on and monitor resolution of complex regulatory compliance issues, drafting action plans for non-compliance and offering recommendations. Work with business management to establish a regulatory compliance culture and ensure control processes are effective and cost-efficient.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrate experience in consumer related regulatory/compliance requirements, policies, procedures and methodologies
- Knowledge of Anti-money Laundering and terrorist financing framework
- experience in dealing with a wide variety of payments types and transactions types
- excellent proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ SharePoint
- experience in consumer related regulatory/compliance requirements, policies, procedures and methodologies, sufficient to draft strategies and provide advice to business management in resolving regulatory compliance risks and issues
- You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above
- must have a valid work or study permit
Desired Qualifications
- It's an asset if you have systems/application knowledge of COINS, ECIF, SWIFT, PRM, PostEdge, WorldCheck etc.
