Job Summary
Senior Agricultural Underwriter responsible for independent financial and collateral analysis of agricultural and commercial credit requests, evaluating business plans, financial statements, projections, and collateral feasibility; developing data-driven conclusions and recommendations, structuring transactions in line with Credit Union policies, and monitoring portfolio performance. Collaborates with the EVP/Chief Credit Officer, participates in Loan Committee discussions, and supports risk management, compliance, and member experience through thorough credit documentation, reporting, and industry trend analysis. Requires deep expertise in agricultural and commercial lending, risk assessment, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or lending; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong expertise in agricultural financial and collateral analysis, including complex credit structures
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements within financial services including anti-money-laundering practices and USA PATRIOT Act
