Job Summary
Sr. Advisor of Federal Policy at the NAIC based in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule. The role will help develop and advance NAIC's federal policy priorities, serve as the primary liaison to key committees, and support the 56 state/territorial regulators. Responsibilities include assessing emerging insurance policy issues, coordinating outreach to Congress and federal agencies, drafting testimony, letters, briefs, memoranda and policy papers, and guiding NAIC’s positions on federal policy initiatives in property & casualty, market regulation, and consumer affairs. Travel to member meetings and events may be required; residency within 100 miles of the DC office is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college
- 6-10 years related experience in government relations or public policy
- equivalent combination of education and experience
