Job Summary
As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer, you will own medium-to-large initiatives end-to-end, leading a small team of developers while driving delivery across multiple system layers. Responsibilities include designing backend services with C#/.NET on Azure, producing high-quality documentation, and championing strong software engineering practices. You will also take ownership of production features, participate in incident investigations, and propose initiatives for platform improvement. Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience, with expertise in distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience building and operating production-grade cloud systems
- Deep expertise in C#/.NET, distributed systems, concurrency, and scalable service design
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives and guiding other engineers through delivery
- Professional experience with event-driven architectures and Azure messaging services
- Professional experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies
- Experience running containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data stores
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building connected-device or IoT platforms at scale
- Experience with performance tuning, throughput optimization, and distributed system debugging
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams without formal people management responsibilities
- Strong written communication skills and a bias toward clear, minimal, and actionable documentation
- Comfort working across organizational boundaries and influencing without authority
