Job Summary
Senior Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director at Mercy Home for Children. Responsibilities include answering and directing calls, calendar management, travel arrangements and expense reporting, handling confidential information, processing timecards, supporting special projects, overseeing switchboard operations, coordinating meeting logistics, taking board minutes, distributing mail, managing postage and bulk mailings, coordinating room setups, and ensuring office supplies and inventory are maintained. Requires 2–3 years of progressive nonprofit administrative experience, strong written and verbal communication, autonomy, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must have a valid NYS driver’s license; some college is preferred. Benefits begin after 30 days, with 6 months eligibility for paid time off and retirement plan options. Required Qualifications
- Two-three years progressive administrative experience in a nonprofit or human services field
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
- Valid & unrestricted NYS Driver's License
- Some College is preferred
