Job Summary
Perform payroll-related general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis. Prepare periodic financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation to facilitate inquiry responses, census filing, and grant expenditures. Reconcile bank accounts and other payroll-related financial accounts in a timely and accurate manner. Review and validate financial data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. This role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with GAAP. Based in Idaho, the position supports a non-profit agency dedicated to nurturing hope and resilience in Idaho's youth through accessible programs funded by thrift store profits.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in payroll
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and Outlook
- Strong understanding of payroll-specific principles, records management, and reconciliation processes
- Ability to analyze payroll-related information and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism
- Associate's or Applied Associate's degree in accounting
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or comparable ERP systems
- Experience with Paylocity or comparable HRIS/Payroll systems
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable financial regulations
- Must be within a reasonable distance of one of the Idaho Youth Ranch locations
