Job Summary
Spearhead the NFL League Reporting process by crafting specialized financial reports for the League office. Lead month-end and year-end close processes through journal entry review, account reconciliation, and rigorous quality control of financial transactions. Document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls while liaising with counterparts across the Kroenke Sports enterprise. Own the audit process as the primary point of contact for external auditors and partner with operations teams to analyze revenue drivers. Mentor accounting seniors and staff to accelerate their career growth within this expanding organization.
Required Qualifications
- Manager level experience
- Approximately 4–8 years of combined accounting and finance experience
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with general ledger functions and close processes
- Clear communicator with the ability to interact with senior leadership
- Strong project management and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a rapidly growing environment
- Strong analytical skills to assess current processes in place and provide feedback for process improvement
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Public accounting experience
- Sports/Venue industry experience
- CPA
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains
- Experience working through ERP change/implementation
- Manager level experience (3-5 years preferred)
