Job Summary
Spearhead the NFL League Reporting process and craft specialized financial reports utilized directly by the League office. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes through the review of journal entries and financial statements, including recording and reviewing transactions for internal and external reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries and reports for all entities, review account reconciliations, and ensure rigorous quality control over financial transactions. Document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls, liaise with counterparts across the Kroenke Sports enterprise, and partner with operations teams to understand spend and revenue drivers. Own the audit process and cash management/treasury processes, mentor accounting seniors, and assist with high-impact special projects shaping the organization's future.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 4–8 years of combined accounting and finance experience
- Manager level experience
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with general ledger functions and close processes
- Clear communicator with the ability to interact with senior leadership
- Strong project management and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a rapidly growing environment
- Strong analytical skills to assess current processes in place and provide feedback for process improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Manager level experience (3-5 years preferred)
- Public accounting experience
- Sports/Venue industry experience
- CPA
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains
- Experience working through ERP change/implementation
