Job Summary
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for month-end and year-end close. Maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile bank and intercompany accounts, and support standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis for a manufacturing operation. Reconcile balance sheet schedules, assist with fixed asset accounting, and prepare financial reports for management review. Support internal and external audits while partnering with operations, purchasing, and plant personnel to ensure accurate cost reporting. Identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls. This contract engagement offers immediate value in a production-driven environment with potential to extend or convert.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP, standard costing, and inventory accounting principles
- Proficiency with ERP systems (such as NetSuite, SAP, Epicor, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly within a contract engagement
- Clear communication skills
- Comfort collaborating cross functionally with plant and finance teams
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing or cost accounting experience
- CPA or progress toward CPA
