Sr. Accountant General & Administrative

Job Summary
Senior Financial Accountant, G&A responsible for producing complex G&A financial reporting packages for senior management, providing financial analysis and variance explanations, preparing monthly analysis of corporate salaries and benefits, supporting G&A and project cost forecasting, assisting with year-end audits, researching IFRS treatment for IT project costs, preparing consolidated analyses for quarterly reviews, and aiding in annual budgeting and allocations. Requires advanced IFRS knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to partner with senior management and other departments.
Required Qualifications
- Seven (7) to nine (9) years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience working with Canadian Public companies with numerous and varying reporting requirements
- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and accounting and experience in resolving complex accounting issues
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Strong financial and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of complex accounting and various aspects of accounting and finance
- Strong computer skills – Excel (required), ERP Software, Yardi, Hyperion, OneStream, Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organization levels
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet defined deadlines in a large fast-paced work environment
- Ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events in the work environment
- Self-starter, self-motivated with proactive and process ownership focus
- Able to work well with others and promote a positive team spirit
