Job Summary
Complete the month-end close process for fixed assets, executing capitalization, depreciation, and disposals while ensuring accurate construction-progress placement. Prepare and post journal entries for capital expenditures, evaluate capital versus expense treatment under US GAAP, and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger. Partner with Development, Construction, and Operations teams to verify project activity, assist with internal and external reporting, and support system enhancements within NetSuite. Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and implement process improvements to enhance data integrity and reporting efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Accounting
- 3+ years prior work experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass comprehensive background screening
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel
- Detail-oriented
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
- Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
