Job Summary
Coordinate and support accounting and financial reporting functions, including cost accounting activities, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, and internal and external audits. Maintain general ledger accounts and fixed asset records in accordance with IFRS, GAAP, and Company policies while preparing monthly financial statements and management reporting packages. Investigate variances in account reconciliations, assist with tax compliance, and contribute to process improvements across operations, maintenance, supply chain, and corporate finance teams. This role supports the evaluation and planning phase of the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine in Nevada as operations resume technical studies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and internal controls
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or CPA-track
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed assets, or capital project accounting
- Mining, manufacturing, industrial, or other heavy industry experience
