Job Summary
Monitor and improve general ledger workflows, reconcile key accounts including bank statements, and prepare general journal entries for monthly close processes. Generate periodic management reports, conduct account and transaction analysis, and assist in preparing year-end audit papers. Manage administrative software systems and payment platforms while responding to information requests and troubleshooting issues for the campus community. This role supports the Finance Office at Capital University, where the team contributes to the university's strategic plan and operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Three to five years of related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others as part of a team
- Ability to be flexible
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to demonstrate considerable initiative
- Ability to communicate professionally through both verbal and written means
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
