Job Summary
Sr. Account Service Representative at Wellmark supporting renewal and retention activities, educating agents and clients about products and services, coordinating and facilitating agent/group meetings, and collaborating with Operations, Underwriting, and other partners to address customer needs. Ideal candidates have an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience, 4+ years in customer/client support with increasing accountability, 1+ year of office administration in insurance/financial services, strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to obtain Life & Health licenses within the stated timelines. The role emphasizes advocacy for customers, data/document review, CRM updates, and cross-functional teamwork to improve customer experiences and retention.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience
- 4+ years of experience in customer/client support or related roles with increasing levels of accountability
- 1+ year of office administration experience (e.g., review/submittal of paperwork, RFP/document preparation, meeting coordination)
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Driver’s License with limited travel 20-30%
- Life & Health insurance license, or ability to obtain license within 2 months
- Life and Health Insurance License required or successfully obtain license within 60 days of hire
- Ability to organize and participate in initiatives and meetings
- CRM data entry and trend analysis
- Process improvement and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to facilitate group enrollment meetings
- Knowledge of SPDs, SBCs, and ERISA
