Job Summary

Senior A&P Mechanic IA responsible for performing advanced maintenance, inspections, and repairs on piston aircraft in an MRO environment. Must have Inspection Authorization (IA) privileges and FAA-compliant procedures. Responsibilities include performing annual and progressive inspections, approving return to service under IA, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical discrepancies, reading and interpreting maintenance manuals and technical data, removing and replacing components, ensuring complete documentation, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop, strong attention to detail, and compliance with safety procedures; candidates must supply their own tools and be able to lift and work in various physical positions.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years of general aviation (piston aircraft) maintenance experience
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Inspection Authorization (IA)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must provide own tools
