Sr 145 Technician -- Avionics Tech

Job Summary

Perform all core duties of an FAA 145 Repair Station Technician at an exceptional level, coordinating with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments for field maintenance needs. Provide communications to the Engineering Department for specialized shop requirements and report maintenance leads and supervisors on project constraints and progress updates. Mentor new employees in shop procedures to increase efficiency and productivity while monitoring, controlling, and ordering material usage in the designated shop. Work a four-day, 10-hour schedule with less than 5% travel time. Requires a high school diploma, five years of related experience, and FAA A&P or repairman certification preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • five (5) or more years' related experience and/or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AMC part 145 and 135 maintenance requirements and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
  • Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts and practices of their specific disciplines skills and their application
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently and to work on problems of diverse scope and implement solutions
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the AMC Safety Management System
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Thorough knowledge and ability to utilize of multiple RAMCO functions
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: <5%
  • Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position
  • All employees must follow Air Methods' employment practices and policies
  • FAA A&P or meet requirements to obtain a FAA repairman certificated
