Job Summary
Develop, enhance, and support enterprise SQL-based applications and database components that integrate critical budgeting and financial information, including troubleshooting complex issues within a legacy production environment. Work directly with customers, technical leads, and System Engineers to understand requirements, define technical outcomes, develop solutions, and deliver enhancements. Manage development and sustainment work through JIRA while participating in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Collaborate with multiple technical teams to coordinate shared dependencies and implement changes across interconnected systems. Apply software development, design, testing, quality assurance, and DevOps practices to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation for system operations and knowledge transfer. Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and operational efficiency by proactively addressing potential issues and streamlining upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- Twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline
- Four (4) years of additional software development experience
- Experience with Java
- Experience with Django
- Experience with ReactJS
- Experience with Python
- Experience with JavaScript
- Experience developing and updating technical documentation
- Ability to collaborate with other teams and dev stacks
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment
- Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment
- Experience managing systems in a virtual hosting environment including AWS
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experience with C#
