Job Summary
Design, code, test, and implement AWS cloud-based SQL solutions while migrating and promoting data and algorithms to the cloud environment. Perform routine data checks, quality assurance, and code reviews to support database planning, systems analysis, and cloud deployments. Collaborate with the customer and Peraton team on requirements gathering, task estimation, and weekly status reporting within an Agile framework. Provide engineering support and maintenance for high-volume, mission-critical financial market data ingest pipelines used by the CFTC. Requires three days onsite in the Washington DC facility and two teleworking days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years with AS/AA
- 5 years with BS/BA
- 3 years with MS/MA
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 9 years of experience
- Familiar with tools such as AWS Cloud databases using SQL Server
- Experience with processing XML, CSV and other delimited data files
- Knowledge and experience working with Agile team member to provide engineer support and maintenance
- Must be US Citizen able to obtain CFTC clearance and cannot start before cleared
- up to three (3) specific days onsite in the Washington DC facility
- two (2) teleworking days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Active Public Trust or other active clearance
- AWS developer experience
- Experience in ETL processing
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Master's degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics or related field and 2 years of experience
