Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views while optimizing existing structures for performance and scalability. Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to perform data modeling, schema design, and documentation, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. Troubleshoot database issues, support ETL processes, and integrate systems using the Microsoft technology stack including SSIS, .NET, and Azure Data Factory. Maintain a DOE Security Clearance and work collaboratively across teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions
- Deep understanding of SQL programming, relational database design, and performance tuning
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- U.S. Citizen
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
- Skilled with building systems to system and systems to SQL integrations using the Microsoft technology stack: SSIS, .NET for custom API integrations, Azure Data Factory, etc.
- Working knowledge of data modeling and architecture with Microsoft SQL or Dataverse
- Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Strong background in relational database management systems
- Proven expertise in query optimization and database performance tuning
- Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business terms
- Experience with object-oriented programming including C#
Desired Qualifications
- Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years
- Previous DOE/NNSA work experience
