Job Summary
SQL Developer needed to design and optimize large-scale SQL Server database solutions. Responsibilities include T-SQL coding, indexing, performance tuning, designing stored procedures, views, and functions; implementing SSIS/SSRS; ensuring security and privacy; replication, backup/restore, clustering, and log shipping. Collaborate with analysts and IT staff, communicate technical information effectively, and demonstrate technical leadership in a contract capacity. Located in Indianapolis, IN (on-site) with a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and quality in oil-and-gas domain contexts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 and T-SQL coding
- Experience with index design and T-SQL performance tuning
- Experience with advanced query design, stored procedures, views and functions
- Experience designing large-scale database solutions that are reliable and scalable
- Working knowledge of security and privacy issues in SQL Server 2008/2014
- Familiarity with RDBMS principles, database design and normalization
- Experience with SSIS and SSRS preferred
- Independent work capability and technical leadership
- Exposure to database administration tasks (replication, backup/restore, clustering, log shipping)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay current with technology
- Understanding of oil and gas industry is desirable but not required
- Detail-oriented with high quality standards
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Ability to collaborate with Business Analysts and IT staff
- Report directly to Automated Data Sourcing Manager
