Job Summary
Handle technical requests from end users by analyzing data to determine root causes of system issues. Install and configure SQL database setups, implementing schemas, tables, and views while adhering to Enterprise Query Standards. Collaborate with application support and development teams to execute quarterly releases and manage change management policies. Review and modify flagged queries for scalability and efficiency, optimizing code using execution plans and DMVs. Perform migrations through development, test, stage, and UAT environments before deployment to production. Evaluate new SQL Server features and trace-flag changes prior to version upgrades. Create and maintain system diagrams and operational documentation. Work onsite in Charlotte every Tuesday with hybrid options available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with MS SQL Server administration or combination of education and 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Solid judgment, analytical and problem solution skills to identify and resolve matters of significance
- Experience working with SQL server Always ON Availability Groups
- High level of knowledge and adherence to Enterprise Query Standards
- High level of knowledge/Experience with T-SQL and PowerShell
- Experience evaluating SQL Queries using execution plans, DMVs, Profiler or Extended Events
- Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Extreme attention to detail
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize workload
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements and requests
- Must reside in the Charlotte, NC area
- Must be available to work in our Charlotte office every Tuesday

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Data warehousing and Data warehousing tools is a plus
- Experience with WhereScape Red is a plus
