Job Summary
Lead a team of local supplier quality engineers to ensure adherence to quality performance targets and supplier readiness planning for heat treatment, gears, and steel forging processes. Monitor plant-level supplier quality, manage risk assessments, APQP, and complaint handling including cost recovery and 8D resolutions. Supervise daily operations of the Supplier Management department, conduct VDA6.3 audits, negotiate QD83, and oversee major change implementations impacting supplier products. Coordinate with BU IW on ZF Group tools and procedures while managing the local department budget. Maintain fluency in English and Chinese to support cross-functional collaboration within the Wind Power business unit in Tianjin.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgy or related field
- At least 5 years' working experience in foundry (or relevant experience)
- Knowledge of Bearing, or Heat Treatment, or Steel & Forging materials and processes technologies
- At least 2 years of team management experiences
- Comprehensive knowledge or be skilled of conducting quality related topics like: 8D problem solving, APQP quality planning, VDA6.3 process audits, FMEA product and process risk assessments, Technical statistics, IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 Basics
- Fluent in both English and Chinese as working language
- Eligible to work in China
