Job Summary
Deliver quality health care to patients and Health Plan members by providing a variety of nursing services in person and by phone. Utilize critical thinking and analytical reasoning to solve clinical problems, manage patient care plans, and administer treatments and medications as authorized. Participate in outreach and in-reach activities to provide prevention, early intervention, and ongoing health education for panel populations and individuals. This role requires a Registered Nurse with at least two years of acute or ambulatory care experience and two years in critical care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications are required at hire, with Moderate Sedation competency needed within six months. The position is full-time in the Outpatient OFN Endoscopy setting at Kaiser Permanente.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory care/clinic setting within the last five (5) years
- Minimum two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in Critical Care
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support
- Moderate Sedation Competency required within 6 months of hire
- Able to type 20 words per minute
- Willingness to learn computerized information systems
- Demonstrates ability to work within teams and within a dynamic work environment

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with population care/case management, triage and advice
- Current or future bachelors degree in nursing or related field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years in Critical Care
- 2 to 5 years of critical care experience with adult patients, preferably in the PACU environment
- 2 to 5 years of experience providing Conscious Sedation in Outpatient setting
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Pain Management injection procedures
- 2 years of experience within the last 3 years (Critical Care positions)
