Sprinkler Technician

Job Summary
Responsible for complete layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of fixed fire protection systems across multiple facility types. Read and interpret blueprints and design specifications; select and organize materials; follow manufacturer instructions, codes/standards, and company policies. Plan installation/repair sequences to minimize impact on customers, cut/bend/assemble piping per standards, and maintain clean job sites. Maintain and advance qualifications through ongoing education and licensure, and travel as needed. Demonstrate strong communication with Field Supervisor and customers, uphold company reputation, and commit to overtime when required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sprinkler installation and service on Wet, Dry, Pre-action and Deluge systems
- Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and design specifications
- Experience with pipe threader and groover
- Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications
- Fire Sprinkler Manufacturer’s Certifications
- NICET certification
- Knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (last 5 years)
- Fluent in English and strong customer service skills
- Willingness to travel and stay out of town as needed
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Commitment to completing required certifications/licenses
- Compliance with Drug-Free Workplace Act (background)
