Sprinkler Service Technician

Job Summary
Install fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, including trenching, repair, and backfilling of underground mains. Service and troubleshoot automatic fire sprinkler systems and related equipment while ensuring strict compliance with manufacturer requirements and NFPA codes. Coordinate system testing and maintain open communication with customers to address feedback and ensure satisfaction. Complete all required paperwork, safety documentation, and incident reporting accurately. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and clean, organized jobsites while adhering to all safety protocols and SOPs. Work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed to meet production efficiency goals and project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fire sprinkler helper
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fire sprinkler apprentice/fitter
- Must have knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems which includes fabrication of related piping and the various materials and applicable joining methods
- Understand fire protection installation requirements
- Ability to properly read fire protection blueprints
- Minimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have valid state driver's license and good driving record
- Knowledgeable with NFPA 13 rules and all necessary codes
- Ability to take direction from upper management
- Must have American Fire Sprinkler Association training program designed for fire sprinkler foreman
- Certified state/federally-accredited Foreman
- State Backflow testing and repair certification
- Forklift and scissor lift certification
- Nicet II & III certification
- Understanding of NFPA codes and standards
- Ability to interact and communicate in a professional and positive manner with other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, general contractors, etc.
- Demonstrate positive team work and ability to be a team leader and mentor
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Comply with all company safety practices and the safety handbook
- Complete projects in a timely manner while providing the highest standard of quality work and customer satisfaction
- Ability to work overtime, out of town or on-call as needed
