Job Summary
Sprinkler Sales Rep responsible for estimating and selling project-related fire protection sprinkler systems and services. Nurtures project leads from estimate to sales close with general contractors, owners, and developers; uses standard estimating tools to prepare proposals and fire protection scope; coordinates handoffs to design/operations teams; requires pipeline management, sales budgeting, and strong communication to drive annual plans. Travel within the territory is required and the role emphasizes building customer relationships, writing clear fire protection scopes, and closing sales.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in fire protection industry – field, estimating, or design
- Prior sales experience preferably in fire protection
- Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
- Ability to write strong and concise fire protection scopes for a wide variety of project applications
- Fire sprinkler system estimating skills
- Viable local relationships with General Contractors in the local market
- Strong prospecting and negotiation skills with respect to fire protection systems
- Proven ability to close fire sprinkler sales/contracts
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills working in a team environment
- Travel within the territory is required
- Possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements
- Effectively hand off closed sales to the Design team
