Job Summary
Coaches an interscholastic baseball program district-wide, organizing and supervising practices and competitions, enforcing district policies and NO Pass/NO Play guidelines, ensuring safety and welfare of all participants, and promoting student academic success through athletic participation. Responsibilities include batch management of equipment/inventory, coordinating transportation and events, supervising head and assistant coaches and volunteers, and aligning with district and state guidelines. The Head Coach role adds budgeting oversight and higher-level supervision. Requires CPR certification, district coaching qualifications, fingerprint clearance, and a valid Arizona Teacher or Substitute Certificate.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a current CPR certification
- Meet all coaching qualifications, course requirements and certifications as determined by federal, state and District criteria
- Pass background investigation as outlined by the District
- Be recommended by Principal or designee
- Receive Governing Board approval
- Possess an active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Possess a valid Arizona Teacher or Substitute Certificate (Head Coach must)
