Job Summary
Spring 2027 Test Engineering Internship at Blue Origin involves hands-on work with test engineering across fluid, propulsion, avionics software, structures, GNC and electronic systems. Interns collaborate with engineering teams on design, analysis, test planning and operation of test systems; some projects may require comfort with heights. The role emphasizes applying technical skills in a multidisciplinary test environment, including MATLAB/Simulink, Python/C++, CFD/FEA, and hands-on project experience, with a focus on growth, leadership, and contribution to Blue Origin's mission. Housing and relocation support are offered, and interns are responsible for daily transportation to work locations. Hourly compensation is $38.00 for 15 weeks of full-time engagement. Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship
- Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong interest in Blue Origin's mission
- Experience in a test environment (desired)
- Experience with Fluid Mechanics, thermodynamics and/or propulsion systems (desired)
- Experience with component test, FEA, CFD (desired)
- Experience with MATLAB or Simulink (desired)
- Programming languages including Python, C/C++ (desired)
- Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership (desired)
