Job Summary
Join Blue Origin as a Spring 2027 Return Internship for undergraduates. Interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects across aerospace systems engineering, avionics software, electrical systems engineering, GNC, Manufacturing Engineering, Structural & Mechanical Systems Engineering, and Test Engineering. Expect hands-on real-world experience, mentorship, and events to learn about other parts of the organization. Indicate your top project focus in your resume/objective. Housing and relocation support are offered; interns are responsible for daily transportation. Hourly compensation is $32.00. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens, currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with at least one semester remaining, and available for a 15-week full-time internship. The role emphasizes space-focused engineering with exposure to multiple technical tracks and leadership opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed one internship at Blue Origin.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
- Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application (obtained sophomore standing).
- Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for space.
- Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrates development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
