Job Summary
Coordinate tournament and event operations for The Ripken Experience Aberdeen, including planning programming, managing facility maintenance, and announcing youth baseball games. Execute daily tasks such as running scoreboards, playing music, and relaying messages to the Tournament Director while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism. Collaborate across departments to support event execution and assist coaches and parents in delivering an elevated experience for young athletes. Work nights and weekends with a schedule that varies throughout the March–May 2026 term.
Required Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience
- Prior experience working with children, demonstrating patience and compassion
- An outgoing, friendly personality with excellent communication skills, strong initiative, and high level of energy
- Ability and willingness to physically perform all job responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to swiftly and efficiently solve problems, while effectively managing and resolving conflict in high-pressure situations, maintaining composure and professionalism
- Superb time-management skills
- A strong interest in sports and the sports industry, coupled with a drive to continuously improve, ask questions, and expand knowledge within the field
- Ability to work in person in Aberdeen, MD
- Work schedule will vary, nights and weekends will be required
Desired Qualifications
- Prior customer service and leadership experience
- Previous experience within the sports sector
- Genuine passion for sports, with a particular emphasis on baseball/softball
- Working towards a college degree
- Some level of experience playing baseball/softball with a strong understanding of the game's fundamentals
