Job Summary
Coat high-tech electronics to exact specifications using spray guns, touch-up methods, and fine tools like tweezers and micrometers. Mix two-part coatings and adjust spray settings while managing thinner ratios for optimal coverage. Operate automated Precision Coat and Parylene machines, reading Manufacturing Travelers and technical drawings to guide assembly setup. Utilize microscopes for detailed inspection and demonstrate tolerance for coating odors. Manage time effectively to coordinate multiple assemblies in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment while working independently or within a team.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the various coating mediums used for a variety of our customer's
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time during the coating operation
- Ability to work with spray guns and adjusting them accordingly based upon the type of coating, as well as mixing the right amount of thinner to coating mixture to give the best overall coverage and protection
- Ability to mix and work with 2 part coatings
- Demonstrate knowledge of coating removal methods based upon the material type being used
- Time management skills
- Good computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret a Manufacturing Traveler associated with the particular customer's assemblies
- Ability to use a microscope and/or magnifying glass
- Ability to tolerate the smell of coatings and thinners
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/working travelers
- Ability to work independently as well as within a group
- Good dexterity
- Ability to work well with hands
- Ability to work with fine tool (i.e. Xacto knifes, paint brushes, tweezers, orange sticks, micrometers)
