Job Summary
Make all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent, including detailed record keeping and inventory management. Maintain and calibrate spray and fertilizer application equipment, then perform selective and non-selective herbicide spot spraying when larger applications are not scheduled. Execute fertilizer applications across all playing surfaces and assist with other golf course tasks as directed. Pay rate is $22.00 to $25.00 based on experience. A valid driver's license is required; experience on a golf course is preferred. This role supports Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, LA, as part of Troon's global golf and community management organization.
Required Qualifications
- A valid State issued Driver's License
- Meet all Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines
- Must be able to stand on their feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and/or carry items that are at most 50 pounds
- Ability to work in all kinds of weather
- Ability to work holidays, a few hours in the morning
- Communicates well
- Self-starter
- Positive attitude
- Well organized
- Dependable
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on a golf course
- A pesticide license
