Job Summary
Golf course spray technician handles safe application of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers to maintain turf health and playability. Responsibilities include calibrating and operating spray equipment, monitoring turf health, maintaining regulatory records, supporting IPM programs, and performing routine equipment maintenance. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and a state pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain it; preferred qualifications include an associate's or bachelor's degree in turfgrass management or related fields and experience with GPS-guided systems. Works outdoors on a golf course, with PPE and safety procedures in place; status as a full-time position with compensation and benefits varies by experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- State pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Knowledge of turfgrass management practices and chemical application procedures
- Ability to safely operate spray equipment and maintenance machinery
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Prior golf course, sports turf, or landscape management experience (preferred)
- Experience with GPS-guided spray systems and application technology (preferred)
