Job Summary
Prepare accurate tenders, quotes, and pricing submissions by reviewing RFT specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities. Apply established estimating processes and internal governance requirements, including pricing direct job costs in Expert Estimation software and compiling tender support documentation. Assess project risks, opportunities, and site-specific considerations through inspections, pre-tender meetings, and stakeholder engagement. Develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and secure competitive quotations. Participate in tender reviews with senior management, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time. Support business growth through proactive client engagement and delivery of the NSW Spray Seal strategy. Complete successful tender and contract handovers to operational teams, clearly communicating pricing assumptions and delivery requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in spray seal
- Experience in estimating
- Experience in project or a similar role within the road surfacing industry or infrastructure sectors
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across operational and commercial teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience with project documentation, procurement processes, quality systems and financial administration
- Proactive

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Expert Estimation software

- Experience with state government, local government, the private sector and internal entities throughout the NSW Regions
- Experience reviewing RFT specifications, drawings, contract documentation, scopes of work, work schedules and bill of quantities
- Experience applying and reinforcing established estimating processes and internal governance requirements
- Experience pricing direct job costs
- Experience compiling tender support documentation
- Experience assessing project risks, opportunities, delivery methodologies, and site-specific considerations through site inspections, pre-tender meetings and stakeholder engagement
- Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and service partners
- Experience negotiating pricing and securing competitive quotations and service offerings
- Experience completing successful tender and contract handovers to operational teams
- Experience ensuring pricing assumptions, risks and delivery requirements are clearly communicated
