Job Summary
Conduct specific engineering assignments under supervision, performing calculations, analysis, and modeling for wastewater treatment facilities. Review existing drawings, plans, and specifications for new facilities and construction, while inspecting and tracking construction projects. Assist in collecting and analyzing wastewater samples for pilot research and optimization, interpreting lab results and data. Prepare presentations, written memoranda, reports, and specifications to support internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate across the organization to achieve shared objectives, managing time and schedule effectively. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, relevant software proficiency, and ability to conduct field work including piloting and sampling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or environmental engineering
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to acquire within six (6) months of start date
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles, practices, methods and standards
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment
- Computer skills required to work with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam Revu, artificial intelligence tools, and hydraulic modeling software
- Ability to conduct field work including, piloting, sampling, construction inspection, and other duties as assigned
- Good verbal and written communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external project stakeholders and colleagues, support meeting participation, and prepare emails, presentations, and technical memoranda
- Three (3) years of minimum engineering experience
- Valid Colorado driver's license and a clear or acceptable MVR
