Job Summary
Sportsbook Ticket Writer helps guests by delivering sports information and writing sports tickets in the Sportsbook room. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, explaining promotion programs, promoting sportsbook products, communicating wagering processes clearly, handling a daily cash bank and reconciling the cash drawer, placing and processing tickets, verifying and processing winning tickets, ensuring internal controls and regulatory compliance (including Virginia Lottery Board regulations and currency transaction/money laundering requirements), maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, communicating issues to supervision, resolving guest questions and disputes calmly, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, strong verbal/written communication, customer service skills, ability to learn systems and software, and ability to work flexible shifts including holidays. Certifications/licenses as required by jurisdiction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 6 months’ guest services experience preferred
- 6 months’ cash handling experience preferred
- Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
