Job Summary
BetMGM is seeking a Sportsbook Writer in Glendale, AZ (onsite) to provide high-quality customer service while writing fast and accurate sports wagers for customers. Responsibilities include delivering best-in-class service, assisting customers with seating, F&B, and kiosk wagers, writing, verifying, and paying on tickets in accordance with department policy, maintaining a till, explaining wagering rules and odds, assisting with digital app wagering, and ensuring compliance with applicable state gaming statutes and regulations. The role requires standing/walking, cash-handling proficiency, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and the ability to collaborate with Customer Service to resolve issues. The position emphasizes compliance with licensing requirements and maintaining professional appearance as per brand standards. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License and be at least 21 years old; the role does not sponsor immigration visas.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to gain and maintain a Gaming License through the proper regulatory body
- At least 21 years old
- Minimum six (6) months of cash-handling experience
- Basic math skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team in a high-stress and high-volume environment
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while operating computers and other devices
- Ability to adhere to brand standards and maintain professional appearance
