Job Summary
Conduct youth and adult sports including outdoor soccer, basketball, indoor soccer, and adult softball in a safe and consistent manner. Coordinate game day operations, facility setup, equipment distribution, and program breakdown. Supervise practice nights and game days to ensure programs operate safely, efficiently, and according to YMCA Standards. Serve as the primary on-site contact for coaches, officials, volunteers, participants, and parents. Assist with training and supporting volunteer coaches, conduct safety inspections, and address hazards immediately. Monitor participant behavior, enforce league rules, and respond to accidents or emergencies while completing required documentation. Maintain accurate attendance records, equipment inventories, and program reports. Assist with registration events, clinics, tournaments, and special sports events. Support program marketing efforts and assist the Sr. Director with program evaluations and recommendations for improving participant experience and program growth.

- Active participation and enthusiasm on the court or field at practices and games
- Knowledge of YMCA core values: caring, honest, respect and responsibility
- Ability to model the YMCA core values: caring, honest, respect and responsibility
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to run to keep up with the pace of the play
- Ability to read and understand the rules that have been developed for YMCA leagues
- Ability to enforce YMCA league rules, policies, and participant code of conduct standards
- Ability to respond appropriately to accidents, incidents, and emergencies
- Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, participants, families, and staff
