Job Summary

Engage readers across social platforms to amplify sports coverage and build excitement around major events. Curate and share viral sports content to keep social feeds buzzing while managing the New York Post's sports accounts to stay ahead of trends. Collaborate with the sports editorial team to highlight breaking news, game highlights, and fan-favorite content. Monitor social media performance to learn how to boost engagement and help grow the sports audience. This 10-week, 24-hour-a-week internship runs from September 14 to November 20, 2026, with in-office attendance at the Midtown Manhattan location.

Required Qualifications

  • A sports enthusiast with a strong passion for the game (or games) you love and the world of sports journalism
  • A love for social engagement and a knack for storytelling
  • Knowledge of current sports news, stats, and trends
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year
  • In-office attendance at our Midtown Manhattan office
